8-Piece Bamboo Magnetic Block + Knife Set

Very impressed with the knife set. The set fulfils all my needs when cooking in the kitchen. The staff at the store was very knowlageable and helpful. Would highly recommend this product to others.

Let me start off by saying that I never write a review. EVER!

I came across this knife set at a Home & Garden show, and I instantly bought it!! (Of course, I took advantage of the discount that they were promoting). I bought this well in advance, but I knew I wanted it for our new home.

And indeed it was a purchase I don't regret. Not only does it meet the trendy/modern look, but it meets beyond expectation. The handles fits so nicely in the palm of my hands, the craftsmanship on the knives are exquisite and very sharp.

I am actually back on the website now to check out more household things I can make a purchase on, but I thought I would express my thanks to the Hutch Family for not "tricking" me into buying it. The product speaks for itself.

If for whatever reason this amazing set doesn't live up to your expecations at the very least it well be the most asthetically pleasing piece of decorum in your kitchen!

I ordered this looking for a unique, but attractive knife block. I am a very picky person, and I tend to notice things, even the littlest details others might overlook.

With that, Hutch's bamboo knife blocj is beautiful and very well built and I would purchase it over again. The block is solid and very sturdy, and the finish is smooth and even. The magnets are embedded into the wood so you don't have to worry that they'll damage or scratch your knives either. The block has some heft to it as well which is probably enough to keep the block from moving as you grab a knife, although it also has rubber pads. The pads elevate it slightly, ensuring it won't trap water beneath it and guaranteeing the block won't unexpectedly slide. The magnets are probably a little too strong, as it does take more effort than I'd like to remove a knife, but you won't have to worry about a knife falling out either.

The knives themselves are extremely sharp. The Chef's Knife in particular has a great balance and weight to it. It's very smooth and easy on the hands, especially if you're cooking a larger meal. The pairing knife and utility knives are just as great, All around consitent build and quality. I would definitely recommend it.

At first I was attracted to the beauty of the knife block and the sleek design of the knives, but when I used them to cook I realized I definitely made the right choice. The knives are so sharp and ergonomic, I actually forgot what I was cooking and just started slicing veggies for a half hour. An absolute joy to use the Chef Knife!
